  1. I heard that puttanesca came about because these working women were required by law to shop once a week, so they could often only afford cheaper ingredients, which were mainly canned and preserved items, like capers anchovies and olives.

  2. A good struggle tip i have s to keep the oil from anything like sundried tomatoes or marinated goat cheese and use it for future cooking or dressings and sauces. It infuses an extra layer of flavour and saves on the cost of oil.

  3. I’m in need of inspiration to cook for myself. As a single parent with not a lot of money I made many yummy dinners but now that I am cooking for myself you are an inspiration. I LOVE to cook for others but not for myself. I will check in with you more often to find some recipes that sound like what I would cook!
