I bought SARAN,and it doesn't stik much well. I have to try different, may be kirkland or so.
What are the runner ups in case local store doesn't have number one?
What was the adhesive they used to use that they stopped using because it was carcinogenic?
Adam doesn't know what he is talking about with regards to the thickness of plastic wraps. They are much thinner. The common thickness is around 0.0004 inches, which around 0.010 millimeters. Thus Adam is way wrong by a factor of around 50.
So glad you did this segment. I spend a lot of time outside
and as a nudist, Freezetite is the raincoat for me.
What a crock.
About thickness: he did not mean 0.68 mm, he meant 0.68 mils. A mil is a thousandth of an inch. The equivalent of .68 mils is about .017 mm, which is a huge difference to .68 mm. Same with the other measurements (0.5 mils instead of .6 mm).
I have never bought a role of plastic wrap that cuts right!
Press and Seal is a huge fail for me. The whole roll got screwed up because it wouldn’t pull out. The idea of this wrap is genius because of what it will stick to such as plastic. The delivery system however is really flawed.
0.6mm thick? no way. that's almost 1/32.
He said they were 0.5-0.7 mm thick. I'm pretty sure he meant mils, not mm.
I didn't realize how many experts there are on plastic wrap until I read these comments.
They need to tests the best NONE plastic wrap … it's killing us …
I guess they all worked the same in the microwave!
Why do ATK videos always seem to have a blonde woman listening & testing and an older man learnedly explaining everything about the kitchen eqpt or food samples? I know many women who know all about kitchen stuff & guys who can barely close a Tupperware correctly. Oh well. I guess I should just be happy the women look like pleasant real people rather than size 2 gorgeous models….
Original Saran Wrap completely sealed in odors. It really worked. Unfortunately they decided that one of the components might not be safe for food. Instead of doing extensive studies to check its safety they just changed the formula.
Costco's STRETCH-TITE is perfect for me!
What a bunch of cwap! He talked about the tests but never said which one was the Kling! Literally boiled down to how well it cut from the roll… look at the way she tore that piece! Of course it’s going to shred when you act like an idiot! I was here for a real demonstration and all I got was a bunch of bullshit propaganda! 🖕🏻
Great Value Walmart thank me later. Avoided it for years, but was soo sick of Reynolds boxes collapsing or the cutters failing. GV is strong. Well packaged and works! 🤗
I always enjoy watching an equipment review by America's Test Kitchen, although I do not use plastic wrap anymore. I have replaced it with reusable wrap made from beeswax.
Why are the women never explaining things to the men on this channel? Maybe it’s time for a change.
Cling Plus has a different function. It doesn’t melt in the microwave.
The first st. From smart n final the worsest ever
Just don't get the ones from smart n final the worsest ever
love these test. Thanks
Sure miss Chris Kimball.
way to much plastic how about testing alternatives to plastic wrap.
Was there a second place brand that may be more available?
I have used freeze-time for several years & hope to never be without it! I buy the 315 square ft box & always find it for under $8 from various sources online! A few months ago I ordered from Farm Fleet. Some Amazon sellers were gouging big time! I wrap all kinds of stuff in it & the put in my food savers bags & vacuum them. I KNOW, too much plastic. 🙄But I can keep stuff in my freezer practically forever. Even items like bread that I can't vacuum will last months in the freeze time & then a hefty freezer bag. Also cookies, muffins, etc. I also use stretch tite which of course is cheaper for other items.
