RE; jigger
For the amateur the measure is fine. But as a professional bartender, the few times he actually needed to use one, he knew which side.
Thank you. Do you have a recommendation for a shaker?
Nice
You look amazing!!!!!! And the info on the cocktail essentials was great!
hello
Apparently, with other important cocktail tools, it doesn't matter?? Well, do yourself a favor and get a Chef'n juicer and a good mixing glass with straight sides. Libbey makes a good one. You will also want a twisted barspoon or two.
Who the hell measures alcohol? LMAO! Lisa's looking good. Lockdown has been good to her!
Please do more of these cocktail must haves!🙏🏿
And please do a review on THE BEST copper mugs for Moscow Mules and THE BEST Lewis bag for crushing ice.
That OXO measuring cup is the handiest thing. Be careful not to keep booze in it for too long. As part of mise en place for a recipe, I poured out brandy and it sat in the cup maybe 20 minutes. Now, it's splotchy/cloudy right to where the brandy was. It still works perfectly fine and even clears up a bit when wet, but I'm careful with it now so it doesn't get worse.
prefer the stainless steel version of that measuring cup, more sturdy and easier to clean
Hello
Good tip on the measuring cup.
You are so credible and I’ve watched long enough that you are family. Family visits during the holidays so We will save you space. 🥳❤️
“You’re just supposed to know, forget that” lol Lisa is the best 😂
I've used the Oxo measuring cup for years! Thanks for publicizing it. It's great for mixing drinks and for cooking in general.
ATK assuming I have friends to invite to a cocktail party 😭
You're great, and I love you, and I learn a lot from you.
Just lacking the shaker xD
I have so many questions, though! You're using a Boston shaker, appropriately so, but one with a glass instead of stainless steel. Is that preferable? And which one to get? How about bar spoons?
Barspoon is far more important than a muddler. Mexican elbow for citrus. Also recommend metal tins instead of the glass. Koriko's are good. Avoid parisian.
😉👩🏻
A muddler is fairly specialized…
This should have been on their top 3 list as it will get you making the vast majority of cocktails.:
Jigger. (you need an accurate way of measuring ml or oz)
Shaking Tins (to shake or stir)
Citrus Juicer (most cocktails require some fresh citrus)
Followed by in this order:
Hawthorne Strainer (you don't want unwanted ice in your cocktail)
Ice Molds (most cocktails that are not served up, benefit from the solo dilution process of a large cube, large cubes will also give you texture when added to shaken drinks).
Tea Strainer (you don't want unwanted particles in your cocktail)
Glassware (rocks and coupe glasses add to the cocktail experience)
Blender (for blended drinks)
Barspoon (helps with stirring, some drinks also require "a bar spoon" of a particular liquid, or to float a spirt on top, but they are few and far-between)
Muddler (some drinks require mint or citrus muddling, but they are few and far-between)
