You're winning inexpensive coffee maker is $179? I think you need to change the title of this to " inexpensive coffee makers for the well to do" . Come on folks, let's see a review of the truly inexpensive coffee makers! i.e.under $30
The Mr Coffee where they stated that if they forgot to put spigot back it would go back into tank has a wedge built into lid that pushes it back over as you close it. I guess they didn’t notice it

You didn’t say but coffee manufacturers and coffee maker manufactures say that one cup is 6 ounces not eat lotta people confuse them

So confusing and taxing for me to try and pick a new coffee maker! I've had two Cuisinart, around $80. and both had issues, so I'm not buying. Factoring in 'new' issues for some newer makers is more to consider. Like "bloom" time, which is more like pro makers and SOME are more expensive. Just as I was considering the Bonavita, the company had issues. The company ! Changes are coming and I'm wondering whether to buy Bonavita models now, or not. Or, at all. It's even on sale. lol. A couple of inexpensive makers -Mr C and Black & D. were given good taste scores on Amz influencer videos. OK, I will peruse this page, replies, etc and see IF I can get out of buying hell.🥵🥵
About $95 for the Bonavita? It's $180 on Amazon today. Businesses feel free to make outrageous price increases regardless of how much or little they were affected by covid-related supply chain hiccups. You can bet their employees didn't get their wages doubled.
i see it at $149 everywhere i would spend $100 but i will suffer with my black n decker until i find one
If you want the best coffee maker at a good price, get a Bunn.
They outlast the competitors and the coffee is excellent every time.
Adjusted for inflation expect to pay almost double.
2 years later and they're all twice the price. WTF?!?!
My complaint centers around the warming plate. Why are they always cheap non-stick that looks like crap almost immediately and why isn't there a switch to turn off the warmer? Despite what coffee makers claim about stopping the flow of coffee when you remove the pot they always drip on the warmer and burn into the surface. I want something better but can't find it.
Who the hell makes coffee like that anyway? No weighing? At least the first few times so you know the ratios
All are overly huge machines made to impress people. My little 6 cut Mr Coffee and 12 cup coffee press make excellent coffee.

This is such a great review, I love Lisa's reviews! However the Bonavita is only 8 cups of coffee and that's too small for my house, we need 10-12 to avoid making coffee twice. What would be our alternative? We have a moccamaster and it's such a pain at only 8 cups and TBH we've had issues with coffee being too weak and have to let the first 4cups of coffee sit, then release, then brew the other 4 cups, let it sit, then release. It's honestly a pain. Really getting sick of not being able to make coffee with teh push of a button.
Even though I only drink one (large) cup of coffee a day, I admit to being a bit of a coffee snob. I had a Keurig for a while just because of the ease of use but it didn't make very good coffee and I got tired of all the plastic. I purchased a Ninja, which I love. I can put the amount of water in to fill the cup I'm using. I can set it for "Bold" and "Small batch" and what I love is that I can turn the heating plate off when I've filled my cup. It makes really good coffee. Oddly the best coffee I've ever had was from a Black and Decker I got at London Drugs for $19.99 many years ago. It didn't last long but it made the best coffee I've ever had. Unfortunately, it was discontinued. Se la vie.
