Fancy Chicken Salad Recipe – How To Make Chicken Salad



We call this Fancy Chicken Salad because of the dressing, grapes and pecans. It’s a fresher and lightened-up version of classic chicken salad and it’s perfect for meal prep!

CHICKEN SALAD INGREDIENTS:
►1 lb cooked chicken breast (4 cups diced)
►2 cups seedless Red Grapes, halved
►1 cup (2-3 sticks) Celery, cut in half lengthwise then sliced
►1/2 cup Red Onion, finely chopped (1/2 of a small red onion)
►1 cup Pecans, toasted and coarsely chopped

DRESSING INGREDIENTS:
►1/2 cup mayo
►1/2 cup sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt)
►2 Tbsp lemon juice
►2 Tbsp dill, finely chopped
►1/2 tsp salt, or to taste
►1/2 tsp black pepper

  1. You are the best, Natasha. I'm off to buy some fresh dill because I'm going to make this tonight and serve it for lunch tomorrow. I don't have pecans but I do have walnuts. Pecans are soooo expensive these days! God bless and thank you.

  2. I love this salad, whether as a sandwich, on top of lettuce, in a wrap, even stuffed in a green pepper. The only substitution I make is I prefer Craisins instead of grapes. So good and perfect to pack for lunches!

  3. To cut the grapes easily, get two round, flat plastic lids. On one lid, place some grapes and cover with the other lid…sort of like a sandwich. Pressing down on the top lid, slide your knife straight through the lids, cutting the grapes in half. POOF! Repeat until all the grapes are cut. NOTE: The bigger the lid, the larger the knife but it will be harder to hold all the grapes in place. 😉
