  2. You did amazing, looks delicious! I'm finnish and we do these a lot too. My family often adds cardamom in the dough. And the filling for when we roll it is usually of brown sugar or muscovado sugar

  14. Beautiful! I’ve always been taught to put the cardamom directly in the dough. Top with pearl sugar before baking for a nice crunch too!
    Best part is that this dough is such a staple base for different pastries. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar inside for Nordic cinnamon rolls, add raisins and make a braided loaf, make buns and put a dimple with butter and sugar before baking for Finnish Voisilmäs or cut the rolls in half and add raspberry jam, a little marzipan and fresh cream.
    These freeze and thaw really well too. My mom always has a bag of homemade rolls in the freezer to have with coffee ☺️
