We combined two of our favorite summer pleasures by incorporating corn into a crab cake packed with sweet crabmeat, the barest breading, and just enough binder to hold the cake together.

You guys make everything look so easy. I am going to try this recipe.
Comprehension is a lost art. It is not claimed in the title or video that this is a crab cake recipe from any region, state, specific location or historically traditional in anyway. It just claims to be “a really good crab cake recipe”, that’s it. So try something new or don’t but relax.
First of all .. the title never said YOU HAVE TO MAKE THIS!! 😂
Interesting take on a classic yum yum dish! Thanks for sharing!!!
Dungeness is the only way to go here on the Left Coast.
I do like crab cakes. But an unpopular opinion that i have is that they are overrated, like The Beatles.
Why only the egg yolks? I've never seen anyone make crab cakes or fish cakes without the whole egg. It seems unnecessarily wasteful.
Love the new kitchen
I read the headline, and my reaction is — No way!
Every dang video is full of "experts" saying that the recipe is wrong. Why are you even watching the video? Keep making your food the way you like it and leave us alone
Also Marylander. No corn in the crab cake. Just lump meat blue crab,a few crushed crackers, very scant amount of mayo and old bay. No puckle, no mustard, no corn, no egg, no butter. I don't see how you can even taste the crab with all that other stuff in there, and that is NOT the traditional East Coast crab cake.
If there's any corn, it's silver queen served on the side after being steamed.
I remember that back in the day, memorial stadium sold crabcakes at baseball games.
I’m glad you didn’t sneak Toni Chimpton in this one
Born and raised in the country’s crabcake capital, Maryland. The recipe is not gunna cut it.
I’d eat it
Exercising my Bridget-granted right to neither ask a question nor leave a comment, but to simply say hello! To you, the person reading this: hello!
Fantastic recipe!
I don't understand why they are referred to scallions. We always called them green onions. Scallions were totally different.
Yum! Love crab cakes.
*The State of Maryland has left the chat
Nope.
Nope nope nope nope – this hurt my feelings! Corn does not belong in a crab cake. Fresh corn DOES belong on the ear, slathered in butter & Old Bay, along with some good Coleslaw, on the side of a crab cake meal with a bucket of icy cold Natty Boh.
If I used claw meat, which I already have, how would that change the results?
I’m from Maryland and this is offensive.
I'll pass on the hot sauce. I'd also use Pacific Northwest crab. Nothing better.
As a Marylander, this is offensive
Corn fritter meets crab cake, sort of. Nobody's crab cakes are as good as your own. Keep the corn, though. I like to put fine chopped red bell pepper in mine.
Please add some carnivore recipes 🙏
Looks delicious!
70 years old and I have never had crab cakes, probably because I live in Iowa.
Two pounds of lump crab – too expensive for me.
Can you use canned corn? If so, how much?
Yum!🦀
Hey, y'all! I watched one of those, 'How's it Made' shows two months ago.
Very detailed, all about SPICES.
So, hold on to your hat! Old Bay is NOT the number one seafood spice sold here in the USA. (I won't share company name here, BUT, feel free to research it.
PONTCHARTRAIN BLUE CRAB MEAT is the absolute BEST! 🏆🦀❣️ #LumpCrabMeat
"Ponchartrain Blue" brand IS NOT 'canned' crabmeat. 🚫
· "Pontchartrain Blue" brand is FRESH CRAB MEAT picked from fresh Blue Crabs caught in Lake Pontchartrain right here where I live.
· The packaging now has a pull top, versus the snap on plastic top.
