  1. In sponsored videos such as this, we only feature equipment that has been previously and independently reviewed by the ATK Reviews team, earning Recommended status or greater. Sponsorships never affect our testing results; the ATK Reviews team maintains its editorial independence. 2. It’s funny seeing everybody get their undies in a twist over a zwillimg product placement. You know, the company that’s been around for over 200 years and can be found widely in kitchens, department stores, and professional restaurants. ATK isn’t shilling for some random YouTuber brand subscription-based product or VPN service. It’s just quality pots, pans, and knives you would find anywhere. I would prefer if they saved the ad read and placement until the end of the video.

  3. ATK has to pay the bills somehow. This is the modern world. This high level of production costs a lot of money. Plenty of 'channels' to choose from – They're taking their shot. This one is a bit slow and overproduced for me. Nik has to do such a locked down performance. He pulls it off, but – damn!

  4. I loved the recipe and the host, but disliked the video because of how ads were handled.
The knife ad makes sense, because it scored high in your testing, but why are you advertising that pot? The fact that you didn't say whether or not it scored high in your testing makes me very confused about whether ATK actually endorses it or not.
I think this undercuts your credibility as an organisation.

  5. I like this. It's is a simple quick sauce that uses butter and shallots. Almost all my sauces are made like that. I must make this dish. But I live in a small coastal community in Oregon, and I doubt I can purchase that Korean paste. But my store would order it if I give a brand name. Can any of you awesome cooks out there suggest one. I would appreciate very much.

  6. First ATK removed subscriber comments from all of their product reviews, and now these videos filled with ads… I always thought of ATK as focused on the home cook but now they are clearly becoming focused on the advertisers.

I'm so sad to be losing a source of impartial reviews and cooking science. This channel is starting to look exactly like every other YouTube cooking channel, and the website is feeling less and less like a community. Such a shame.

  7. I gave thumbs down because of the ads. I get cooking info from ATK specifically because there are no adverts within the videos other than adverts for ATK/CC/CI products and services. If these videos are going to start including third-party ads, I'm going to stop watching them.
