Ginger Beef

For the beef:
• 1 cup corn-starch
• Beef cut into slices
• 2 cup oil, about 1 inch deep, for frying
For the sauce:4 tablespoons soy sauce6 tablespoons rice vinegar5 tablespoons sugar1 tablespoon sesame oil1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
For the vegetables:2 tablespoons oil, for stir-frying2 tablespoons carrots, cut into matchstick size pieces1 tablespoon minced ginger3 garlic cloves, minced2 stalks spring onions, julienned, separate white and green parts
For the corn-starch slurry1 tablespoon corn-starch2 tablespoons water
Instruction
First, place 1 cup of corn starch in a large bowl. Toss the flank steak in corn starch. Mix until everything is coated evenly.
Then pour the oil into a wok. Heat it up over high heat until it reaches 350°F. You can test the oil with 1 steak strip first. If you see lots of bubbles around it then the oil is ready.
Put 1/4 of the beef strips work. Quickly separate them with a fork. Deep fry until the coating is crisp and golden, about 3 minutes. Remove the beef and drain on a paper towel lined plate. Repeat with the remaining beef strips.
To make the sauce, in a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar,sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
In another pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil, the carrot, spring onions (the white and middle parts), ginger, and garlic. Cook over high heat until the aroma comes out. Pour in the sauce and cook until it’s boiling. Introduce the cornstarch slurry to thickening the sauce. Transfer the beef strips back into the pan. Stir-fry until combined. Lastly, add the green part of the spring onions.

Penne Arrabbiata

Ingredients
Penne pasta 1 packet
Tomatoes 5-6
Tomatoes paste 5-6 tbsp
Oil as required
Salt to taste
Garlic 1 tsp
Red chilli flakes 1 tsp
Chicken powder 1 tsp
Black pepper 1 tsp
Oregano a pinch
Parmesan cheese if not available finely shredded Mozzarella
Parsley as required

Method
Peel tomatoes and make puree. In a pan add oil, and sauté garlic now add red chilli flakes, salt pepper and sauté. Now add tomatoes pureed and let it simmer for a while then add tomatoes paste let it cook on low to medium heat now at oregano your sauce is ready. Boil pasta toss it into sauce. Add cheese and parsley on top. Eat it with garlic bread, grilled chicken or alone with a fork.
