Gajar Halwa In Pressure Cooker | बिना घिसे गाजर का हलवा | No Grating @Ismita24



Bina Ghise/ kaddukas Gajar ka halwa | Without Grating

Ingredients:

1. Gajar/ Carrots – 500 gm
2. Milk – 500 ml
3. Sugar- 1 Cup
4. Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
5. Chopped dryfruits – as desired
6. Ghee – 3-4 tbsp

Method :

1. Wash and peel the carrots.
2. Cut the carrots into small pieces.
3. Heat 2 tbsp ghee into the cooker, add carrots, saute for 3-4 minutes.
4. Add Milk, close the lid and cook on medium flame for 2-3 whistles.
5. After 2-3 whistles, turn off the flame and let the pressure release.
6. Now, open the lid, coarsely mash the carrots to get a coarse texture (Don’t make a paste).
6. Add sugar, Kesar milk (optional), Cardamom powder and cook until the milk is reduced and halwa thickens.
7. In a tadka pan, add some ghee, chopped dryfruits saute for a minute, add them into halwa, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Serve hot and enjoy
