We advanced from toasters to toaster ovens and then they became little ovens and now we're going back to the toaster. 😂
So now we have toaster, toaster oven, toaster convection oven, air fryer, oven /stove, and convection oven / stove / hob.

anybody who pays more than 20 bucks for a toaster needs their head examined.
Wattage. Cheap toasters convert some where around a thousand watts to heat energy. A better one will be around 1800 watts. But a really good toaster doesn't like the voltage in the average American Kitchen because 120 VAC is Too little power. You need 240 or 208. With that you can start looking at toasters that produce well over 2000 watts of heat energy.
This is why the Dualit toaster sucks because In the UK they have 220 in the kitchen outlets. Here however they sell a crippled wimpy weakened version that limps along on 120 VAC and it just can't do the job.

How deep does the slots go down on the Breville toaster?
We have a breville four slice toaster. Lots of nice features. Missing one though, the ability to turn bread into toast. Really, very poor performance, had one replaced under warranty, replacement is no better… not even going bother trying for another one. One of my all time worst buys.
i own the breville toaster and it's pretty disappointing. the main problem is that the heating wires don't go all the way across the slot. instead it's like they stuck two single slot "burners" together and there's a gap between them where they connect that doesn't have heating elements. you can see it on this video if you look at 1:15 or so. that wireless zone goes the whole way down the heating element. this translates to uneven toasting- if you're doing a long slice you get a part in the middle that's not as toasted as the sides, but it's worse when you're toasting 4 more regular sized slices as the sides closest to the middle don't toast as well. it's so bad that i never set the toaster to the setting i want, instead i set it at half with the intention of flipping the toast to the other side to get even color across the whole slice.
I have The Dash and hate it. When the toast is done it fly's out of the toaster like it's launched from a rocket.
This segment should be called Dumb Heads. You turn a toaster up to 100% and because it burns the bread you poo poo it? The highest setting on toasters is NOT meant to toast white bread. This is why the Magimix has a window Duuuh?
why is it an issue if the darkest setting burns toast? just turn it down. I have had the other issue with toasters – the darkest setting barely toasts at all. the breville looks nice, but does not seem to toast sufficiently
Reviews on the Breville scared me from buying it. Everyone complains that the toaster quits toasting on one side or another. They last a handful of months till they break.
Lol the Breville is $135 on amazon not $80.. so its a "bit more"
So people enjoy black toast, so let’s not discount that as unwanted

I have never gotten the toast results which are beautiful and just what I want that I get from my air fryer. I do toast English muffins beautiful bagels I can put anything in there and toast it and it comes out perfect every time because I know the temperature and time that I like my toasted breads to be at! 🙂

Bought a Breville because of this video. Does not toast evenly. Had to set time in half and turn them and continue toasting. Not worth $120 CAD
