Goan Beef Cutlets – Quick and easy recipe. Serve as appetisers, main or use in a burger. These are so versatile.

Goan Beef Cutlets

500g ground beef (beef mince)
1 large or 2 medium onions, finely chopped
2 birdseye chillies, finely chopped (optional)
3-4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1/2″ ginger, finely chopped
1-2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
1 egg
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
1/4-1/3 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilly powder
2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
Salt, to taste
2 slices of bread
Bread crumbs, to coat the cutlets
Olive oil, for frying (You can use whatever cooking oil you have on hand)

  1. Thanks so much for this. My beloved late nan Olga who was Goan always made these for me. I am now very interested in cooking Goan food myself. You make your cutlets just like my nan did and now I can also do it the same. My nan also made me potato chops with mince inside. I might try that next. Do you have a video on those? It is so nice to hear the Goan accent again. I was born in London, so I don't have it myself. x
