Green Beef Recipe.

To marinate

1/2 kg beef
4 Tbsp Green masala
2 Tbsp Kokum syrup
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder

2 Chopped potatoes

To cook

Vegetable oil
3 medium onions
2 tomatoes
2 cloves garlic
1 inch piece of ginger
1 Maggi cube

The method she uses to cook this beef is slightly different than how we usually make it. She cooks the beef separately and then adds it to the tomatoes and onions while they cook.

The Kokum syrup comes in two versions I’ve heard. The sweet one is usually the one that we use to drink and the other one that is slightly salty is used for cooking purposes. A friend had also mentioned that its called Kokum Aagal.
