Ingredients:
Gosht (mutton/beef): 250g
Green onions (spring onions): 2 bulbs (chopped)
Oil: 100g (about ½ cup)
Ginger garlic paste: 2 tsp
Turmeric (Haldi): 1½ tsp
Red chili powder: 1 tsp
Salt: to taste
Water: 2 glasses (about 400–500ml)
After cooking:
Coriander powder: 1 tsp
Garam masala: 1 tsp
Green chilies: 2–3 (slit or chopped)
Curd (yogurt): ½ cup (whisked)
Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves): 1½ tsp
Fresh coriander leaves: handful (for garnish)
🥣 Instructions:
Initial Cooking:
In a pot, heat oil and sauté green onions until soft.
Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for a minute until aromatic.
Add gosht and mix well so it’s coated in the spices.
Pour in 2 glasses of water.
Cover and cook on medium flame for 22 to 30 minutes, or until the meat is tender and the water has reduced.
2.Finishing Touches:
Once meat is tender, add:
Coriander powder
Garam masala
Green chilies
Whisked curd
Kasuri methi
Mix everything well and simmer for 5–10 minutes on low heat until the oil separates.
3.Garnish:
Sprinkle fresh coriander leaves before serving.
