Wrong!. Step one get a beer you like. Step two put it in a pot. Step three put in the brats with onions. Step four cook on low heat. Step five when the fat bursts from the skins take the brats out and put on the grill to char the skin.
That is how you make the brats juicy with a melt in your mouth texture but keep that nice bite.
How much butter? Sounds good
