1 lb Penne
1 Medium Onion – chopped
1 1/2 lb Ground Beef
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
2 – 3 Cloves Garlic – minced
3 C Marinara Sauce
Salt & Pepper to taste
2 C Cheddar Cheese – shredded
Boil pasta – cook for 9 – 10 minutes. Pasta should be slightly underdone.
Add oil to ovenproof skillet. Cook until beef starts browning, drain excess fat. Add onions & garlic cooking until onion start to turn translucent. Add in marinara sauce and season with salt & pepper. Cook until sauce is heated through.
Pour ground beef mixture over pasta and mix well.
Spray 13 x 9 baking dish with cooking spray. Add ground beef mixture to baking dish and top with cheddar cheese.
Bake @ 400 for 10 – 15 minutes or until cheese is nice & bubbly.
