Meal Prep Idea ๐Ÿ’ก Mince & Pasta

All the ingredients are from @WOOLWORTHSSA . We prefer gluten-free pasta. If normal pasta works for you, you should be able to get 5-6 portions or 4-5 portions with the gluten-free pasta.

You can also prepare this lunch or dinner idea as an entire family meal by adding the pasta to the mince.

INGREDIENTS:
– 200g Baby Spinach, Chopped
– 1 Onion, Diced
– 500g Lean or Extra Lean Beef Mince
– Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce, 600g
– 250g Gluten-Free Pasta or 300g Normal Pasta
– Freshly Chopped Parsley
– Grated Medium-Fat Hard Cheese
– 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
– 2 Tablespoons Chilli Powder
– 1 Teaspoon Ground Cumin
– 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric
– 1 Teaspoon Crushed Garlic
– 2 Teaspoons Ginger & Garlic

METHOD:
1. To a heated pan, add the mince. Break up the mince using a spatula/spoon.
2. Once the mince changes color, add ginger & garlic, crushed garlic, salt, pepper, and the ground spices listed above.
3. Once everything is well combined, add the diced onion and cook until the onions are translucent.
4. Add the chopped baby spinach and cover with a lid for the spinach to steam.
5. Meanwhile, start cooking the pasta.
6. Mix in the wilted spinach into the mince and add the tomato & basil sauce. Allow this to cook for 5-7 minutes.
7. Once the pasta and mince are both ready, portion out onto containers, top with a teaspoon of grated cheese and fresh parsley, and enjoy. Store in an airtight container.

You can freeze these meals in foil containers.
