I like to start my mornings off with a smoothie high in protein, but most protein powders are pretty bad for you. So I’m gonna show you what I use instead. Each serving of 2 cups has about 15 grams of complete protein.

WHOLE FOOD PROTEIN SMOOTHIE RECIPE
Ingredients
• 1 organic banana
• 1 cup raw milk
• 1 raw pastured egg
• handful of organic spinach
• small handful of frozen wild blueberries or organic strawberries
• 1 Tbsp extra virgin coconut oil
• dash of vanilla extract
• 1–2 tsp pure honey (optional)
Directions
Place all ingredients into your blender and blend until desired consistency has been achieved. I like it best when the coconut oil is blended into tiny pieces and the other ingredients are blended smoothly.

I noticed that you recommended adding peanut butter at the end. What are your thoughts on peanut butter? I’ve heard from various sources that it can be very inflammatory, and not actually good for you. And also that it’s not a nut, so it’s not gonna have those health benefits. What kind of food is it? Is it a fruit, seed, legume? I noticed that after my gallbladder surgery, I stopped being able to eat peanut butter – it just sat heavy and uncomfortable in my stomach. But after I started adding bile supplements to my meals, I now feel like it’s good for me. Do you have any thoughts or research on that topic?
Yup! Can’t believe I didn’t know there is lead and other heavy metals in most vegan protein powders. And the ones without that are so so expensive. Thank you for the vid! (:

Almost exactly what I use. But I like frozen bananas better because then it tastes even more like a milk shake!
