Healthy & Rich Cacao Smoothie Recipe | Breakfast Smoothie | The Sweetest Journey



Learn how to make a healthy and rich cacao smoothie to start your day with.

Ingredients:
1 Ripe Banana, Sliced
1/2 Cup Ripe Avocado (77g)
1 Tablespoon Cacao Powder (5g)
1 Tablespoon Ground Flax Seeds (6.5g)
1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds (12g)
1 Tablespoon Natural Unsweetened Peanut Butter (16g)
1 1/2 Cups Almond Milk (360ml)

Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to a blender and process until smooth, about 1 minute.

| Makes 2 Cups

*If the smoothie is too creamy, add 1 tablespoon of almond milk at a time until you reach a desired consistency.

  1. I doubled the recipe so I’d have enough for my family to have some too. This didn’t turn out well for me but I will revisit it. My bananas were ripe but not yet spotty which would have helped. The flax seed was pretty dominant when I tasted it, and it wasn’t sweet at all so I added some pitted dates and some turbinado cane sugar. I think next time a very ripe and frozen banana will be better.
