Here are three replacements for seafood that are plant-based
There are different reasons people do not eat seafood, including allergies or because they are plant-based. Whatever the reason, here are three options to help you eat well on your journey.
Jackfruit – Amazing texture and sponge-like when it comes to absorbing flavor.
Banana Blossom – Fish-like texture
Lion’s Mane Mushroom – has a sea-like smell and absorbs the flavor of the spices and herbs well.
Show some love and share more options in the captions to help others on their journey!
Peace

They all look yummy
Thanks for sharing! What oils do you fry your faux seafood in?
Wow, my mouth is watering! Thanks so much🤩😋
🧢🧢🧢 on ALL 3!!! Bonus 🧢: hearts of palm. Just enjoy your well seasoned shrooms & veggies. I get the marketing etc. In a store, there’s over a dozen FLAVORED potato chips but guess what, we still call them POTATO CHIPS..
I have the cook book along with many other both non & vegans/vegetarians. The seasoning of anything is key no matter the food. You can take each of these items and change the seasoning and waalah – it’s “vegan steak” or “vegan nuggets” and wait for it “vegan fish” – eh the flavors are there but not the texture, the natural feel or smell. Lol you can press and marinade mushrooms til the end of 2024 primaries, it’s not going to hit like actual bacon, shrimp – it’s going hit like a well seasoned mushroom and that’s perfectly fine 🍄👍😂
Banana blossoms are good taste just like fish
Hearts of palm makes good calamari and delicious fish sticks. Green sour sap also makes a excellent fish filet, try it!😊
Artichoke hearts are good for fishcakes, or mix with mayo and make a California sushi roll.
HEART OF PALMS FOR A LOBSTER ROLL…MMMM!!!
Great video
I think people use cauliflower as chicken sub, but I always believe it would be better a fish/shrimp replacement. In any shrimp dish, like imagine cauliflower season like shrimp scampi.
Hearts of palm
Eggplants
I like using tofu as a quick alternative with some Furikaki it gives 'fis'h Filet '…. I have it on my channel too. I tried banana Blossoms only once .. I will be doing it again. 💜💜😋😋
Borage has a bit of an oyster flavor
Man I'm trying to be as cool as bro when i grow up.
Such exotic ingredients 😭
Vegans spend alot of time figuring out how to make non meat products taste like meat ive noticed that there's never been a single carnivore who tried to make a steak taste like broccoli or chicken taste like kale. Just a thought.
#tastelivesmatter.
You would make shit on a shingle look good. You really have a way with food!
Oh my all that looks delicious
Respect
Dude… I'm not gonna lie… That food looks delicious… I just can't get over the whole thing of making my ingredients look and taste and have the texture of another ingredient that I already know and have… Seems like a whole lot of added work…
The stem portion of mushrooms is great for a scallop like dish. Add soy sauce and umami flavors to marinate., sear both sides in a hot pan.
I haven't tried it yet, but I saw one recipe being used with heart of palm
Wonder if he gets high off of some of his cookings lol
Where would one even find banana blossom? I’m intrigued
Will try the Banana blossom I have one on my tree at the moment, thanks for the tips ❤
Pa ja ni ne znam za ove biljke!!!! Pozdrav iz Srbije
It’s crazy how good it all looked. I eat meat but this shit definitely looks good enough to try
nasty ahh slop
Banana blossoms is my favourite!! I made such a delicious curry with them. They are delicious and the texture is amazing. I used them for plant based admiral pie and woah, delicious too! They’re so good for so many dishes. I used them in a sandwich with nori too and it was better than any poor tuna I ate. Love banana blossom!
