Holiday Mac & Cheese Recipe Let’s cook!
Ingredients:
2 cups of macaroni
1 bag of Chao plant-based cheese (your favorite one)
1/2 block of the same cheese
1 cup of oat milk (add a little at a time, you might not need it all)
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper (optional)
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1 teaspoon of herbes de Provence
1/2 of a red bell pepper
1/2 of a green bell pepper
1/2 of an onion
Cooking Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook 2 cups of macaroni in a medium pot until tender. Drain well.
In your largest skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of avocado oil.
Sauté onions and bell peppers, adding salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook for 5 minutes.
Add the cooked macaroni, mix well, and then add half the oat milk and the bag of cheese.
Stir in all the seasonings and cook for another 5 minutes.
Cut the remaining half-block of cheese into small cubes and stir them into the mixture.
Transfer the mac & cheese to the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
