Returning home following a big shop,i tried to put some of the items in the fridge, imagine my surprise there was no room to be had, as someone had filled it with uncooked rice.😂😂😂😂.
What kind of a lazy PoS can't even cook rice every morning? Just get an electric rice cooker if you're too dumb to make rice in a pot or a pressure cooker. Get in the habit of eating freshly cooked home made food.
I just keep rice at almost all times going in my zojorushi rice cooker. It’s very fresh for the first 48 hours, arguably best on day 2, and only starts to get a little weird on days 3+ (don’t judge lol).
You eat rice every day and you still need to keep it in the fridge for one year? This doesn't make any sense. If you consume that much how come it lasts that long. Do you one rice by one rice everyday???
The best way to store rice is in the bag it came in. Step 1: cut a 3-4" slit on top, use that to pour out the rice you need. Step 2: use duct tape to cover that hole, put a loop on one side of the tape to make it easier to remove. Step 3 (optional): replace the tape every 4 or 5 times you open the bag to remove some rice. Step 4: you've gotta lick it before you stick it
I buy rice from Costco, the giant bags. I separate it and use a food savor to suck all the air out of the bag, then put the bags in the freezer, keeping one bag out for use, at a time.
Go with a chamber vacuum sealer with oxygen packs. Im at 5 years, cooks like I just bought it. No it’s not cheap but I’ve saved plenty to cover the cost. Meat costs especially…. Imho
thank you
Bruh, I eat rice that’s a week old. No one told me it’s too old to eat
how long does cooked rice last when not in refrigerator
The rice bag looked like a dress at the beginning.

Raw rice in the fridge is overkill. That whole bag is getting eaten in a few months tops lol
I've never had a problem with raw rice being stored in a airtight container…. indefinitely.
Are there any locations that is not pest free?
Shiny and separated rice IS the goal here, no clumpy gluey sticky rice.

Best place to store rice is in the dishwasher
We don't even use rice if it is not year old, and more older the better. Just to let you know we have best rice in the world, Basmati, super kernel
20 lbs of rice would last me at least 5 years. Potatoes 🥔 on the other hand….
Good to know you don't eat cooked rice if it's shiny. Don't want to get sick!
Thank you!

This is so wrong..you store raw rice in the FREEZER not the refrigerator….dear God…
Half a teaspoon or less of vinegar before cooking rice; bay leaves or dried chillies in raw rice storage. Thank an Asian later 😂
I knew rice could go bad from pests, but never actually thought it would go bad otherwise.
She forgot to say that if you're fridge smell funny, throw it away.

You can store some rice for up to 30 years… what a useless video.
Yeah I buy a 25lb bag at a time there’s no way I have room in my fridge for that. It does just fine in the cupboard.

freeze it and warm it in the microwave. it will be so much better than storing it in the refrigerator.
I've eaten 2 week old refrigerated rice on multiple occasions. No issue.
