My best friends mom usto make it and I usto tear it up and now I'm trying on my own and its not st.   3. If you cut your cabbage longways through the stem end, the cabbage will hold together. Going to try this tomorrow, boil as you did, cook on a plank and then wrap with Guinness :>) Gonna be gooood.
