Sick of getting flare ups when BBQ’ing lamb chops?
In this video i’m going to show you how to BBQ lamb chops without getting flare ups!
Being Australian, I LOVE lamb chops, however i’ve seen people time and time again burn them, over cook them or get nasty flare ups when cooking them, especially when cooking them over charcoal!
In this video i’ll show you a cooking method where you won’t get any flare ups, but you’ll still be left with crispy, juicy and tasty lamb chops!
This cooking method is also suitable for any other kind of lamb chops, pork chops and it’s also a great way to cook marinated wings without them burning too!
If you’re worried about using this method and making a mess in your BBQ, you can always put some foil around the cooking grate below whatever you’re cooking to catch any drips to make an easy clean up.

That lamb rub is fantastic, I've never tried using the vortex for lam chops before, but I will definitely be giving it a go, I usually just cook straight over charcoal rotating the grate to let the flames die down but this seems to give good results with a fraction of the effort. A stainless mixing bowl with the bottom cut off makes a great cost effective vortex
Loin chops are the best. Cheers for the vid 🙂
Very nice, i really enjoy lamb t-bones! What is the order of popularity of barbecue meat in Australia? Beef, lamb, chicken, pork? Is kangaroo suitable or too lean? Here in The Netherlands it is possible to buy online Australian Wagyu, about a third of any Japanese one, still too expensive, though, so I only bought a few times. Cheers!
Looks absolutely delicious gunna try it out right now 👍👍🙌 and also how do i become a member ?🤷♂️🤷♂️
They look great mate, can't go wrong with loinies, have got a shoulder going at the moment
Just watched ur video gunna try the same method on my webber but without the chunk of wood
Nice chops mate. I'm doing some tonight. My brother won a WeberQ 3200 about a year ago and the poor ole kettle hasn't seen much love since. I better give it a scrub and get back into it. Jeez the gasser is quick and easy though with quite good results. No smoke though obviously.
I have a pichana in the fridge and don't really want to put it on gas. cheers.
thank you…
They look ridiculously tasty. Currently defrosting a whole lot of lamb offcuts for a curry and wondering how I can justify getting some lamb chops to throw on the Weber as well 😂
Great with tomato's for breakie on a cool morning..😊
Awesome, Aaron where can I grab that rub in the north of Adelaide please
