  1. Ok for everyone so clearly indignant about how WONDERFUL their bowls and lids are despite being cleaned in the dishwasher: perhaps you don't know that these used to be made out of a different kind of plastic. If you've ever seen the original amber bowls of a Cuisinart that are scuffed and cloudy, you'd understand why they've been advising to keep them out of dishwashers. The Lexan plastic today is different. Also, both dishwashers and dishwasher detergents are differnet today too. However manufacturers dont want you to blame THEM for an inferior product if your items get cloudy. So they keep giving the same advice they did 40 years ago.

TL;DR – calm down and enjoy the advances in technology.

  2. I tried washing mine by hand the first time I used it. After it slipped and sliced multiple fingers open, I decided the very slight dulling that might occur after years of dishwasher cycles was worth keeping all of my blood tyvm.

  3. I put a free plastic grocery store bag between the bowl and the lid when I’m chopping up food that doesn’t have to be added from the feed chute above and I never have to wash the lid. Occasionally, I have to push a little harder to get the lid to lock in place, but it’s not a big deal.

  4. You would think that not putting the base in the dishwasher is an obvious No-No but there will be some idiot on the internet that will do it and think that nothing would have gone wrong! 🤯🧫🧽🧼
