Soapy water in a glass, of course! I do that with my regular blender but didn't think about doing it with my immersion blender.

How can they be dishwasher safe when you can't get the part with the motor wet? Or did I misunderstood something? I always used to rinse them right away, but this method of running it in soapy water is better.

If you put hot sudsy water in your blending bowl or pan and then blend… It cleans the bowl as well as your blender. 💖🌞🌵😷
As a kid washing the eggbeater was the good part of washing dishes. Running the immersion blender in soap and water has the same energy.
