I love how the word “hack” gets tossed around in these silly vids
After working in a restaurant i never cook bacon on the stovetop anymore. I put foil on a sheet pan for easy clean up. 15 min in a 400 degree oven. Cook the whole pack of bacon and save it in the fridge if there is any left over. Practically cooks itself. Don't have to flip it or mess with it
“Hack” definition: Taking something and using or applying it outside of its designed purpose successfully. You can’t “hack “ nature or food in a pan.
Well I can see I won't be using a stainless steel pan to fry my bacon!! Five of the slices just vanished by the time it was done frying 😂😂
Water works like a charm, just a little bit
I cook bacon the same way cooks at Diners have done for decades. I put the whole slab fat side down and slowly let it fry. The straps will start separating and you just fry them an a lo/medium heat until they achieve doneness.
What is your opinion on adding a bit of water?
