Mussels Mariniere/Mejillones a la Marinera
INGREDIENTS: (2/4 people)
2 Kg fresh mussels (washed & cleaned)
1 onion, finely chopped
300 grs of tomatoes (aprox 5 small tomatoes) chopped
1 tbsp of plain flour
1/2 cup of dry white wine
1/2 cup of water
A pinch of salt
3 cloves of garlic, peeled, whole
1 tsp parsley

Mussels Mariniere is the perfect quick dish for a week day or a gathering. It is easy, fast and cost effective not mentioning how tasty it is.
I had not eating it in a long time and this just brought memories of sun and laughter.
The mix of the tomato with the wine and the addition of the garlic makes this a bread dunking winner.
If you have never tried it, this is the day and this is the time. Mussels are one of the cheapest and under rated shellfish in the UK.
