This adult spin on classic penne pasta combines two interesting ingredients you probably didn’t think would work well. This penne alla vodka ground beef has a creamy sauce and a kick of spice from the chili flakes. The aromatic vodka sauce gives this dish a totally different flavor that you will absolutely love.

Ingredients:
3 oz red onion, chopped
15 oz (1 can) tomatoes, crushed
4 cups cooked penne pasta
½ cup vodka
1 lb ground beef
2 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp chili flakes
½ cup heavy cream
½ cup shredded or powdered parmesan cheese, divided
Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
To serve:
Parsley, chopped
⬇️ How to make Penne Alla Vodka ⬇️
0:14 In a large pot over medium-high heat, heat oil. Saute the onions until translucent.
0:20 Add beef and saute until the ground beef is cooked through, breaking up the meat when necessary.
0:23 Add tomatoes and saute briefly.
0:27 Deglaze with vodka and reduce briefly.
0:30 Increase the heat and let the meat sauce simmer until it reduces by half.
0:35 Add the cream, ¼ cup of the cheese, and then the pasta. Stir well.
0:42 Season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Adjust accordingly.
0:48 After 3 minutes, remove from the heat, add parmesan cheese and serve!
