Pork Afritada recipe | Afritadang Baboy
Ingredients
2 lbs. pork shoulder cut into cubes
1 can tomato sauce (16oz)
6-8 cloves of garlic minced
1 medium onion chopped
4 hotdogs sliced to bite sizes
2-3 tbsp of soy sauce
2 cups of water
2 medium potatoes cubed
2 medium carrots cubed
1 can of sweet peas
Salt and ground pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a pan
2. Sauté meat until golden brown in color then set aside
3. Using the same oil, sauté onion and garlic until onions are soft
4. Add the hotdogs and sauté, then add the meat that was set aside. Give it a good mix
5. Add the soy sauce, ground black pepper, tomato sauce and mix well.
6. Add water, mix, and let it simmer under medium heat for about 45 min. Or until meat is tender
7. Add the carrots and potatoes, mix well and let this simmer under medium heat for another 10-12 min
8. Add the green peas
9. Guve it a very good mix
10. Serve with rice and eat to your hearts content
