Cooking store-bought tocino is very easy. Just add water & oil. Depending on your preference cook it rare, medium or well-done.

Thank you. I bought a pack of Ticino out of curiosity, never had it before and didn’t even know what it is. Tried it today and it came out very tasty, adding water was not expected but it works.
About how much water was that and about how long did it take to reduce down before you added oil? Just curious so I have a frame of reference, I know individual stoves, pans, and elevations cause times to vary. Last time I didn't use water, I just let the meat dry in the pan (from the liquid in the package) then added oil and fried for about 10 minutes but it didn't come out the way I was expecting. Thanks ahead of time
