  1. Indirect has its uses, but for ribs, wings, thighs and quarter direct method is the best. You remind me so much of my father when I was growing up. He would call me over to his grill and say, "come here boy, I'm trying to learn you something" . Glad I paid attention, thanks for the vid and sharing your knowledge with us.

  2. Yes Sir! That's how I learned to cook them growing up in Memphis. The only thing I do differently now is mix the rib rubs together with the olive oil (learned this in Germany) and pour that over my ribs in a zip lock bag and refrigerate them overnight. Also, as a backup way to tenderize them… I use my oven and set it at 375 degrees and bake them wrapped in foil for 45 mins. They come out perfect every time ! Great Video!!!
