  4. I use a little bit of Torino sugar free flavored syrups in my smoothies and it thickens the smoothies. Torino brand syrups and Skinny brand syrups have xanthan or cellulose gum in them.

  5. What about arrowroot powder? Would that be a more natural alternative? I tried it when making a frozen banana ice cream, thickened up real nicely. Haven't tried it in runny smoothies, should've today, made two runny smoothies.
