  1. Just pressure canned 15 pints of chicken. Got boneless chicken breasts for 99 cents per pound, and no room in my freezer. I know those little cans only cost a buck, but.. pint jars hold about a pound of meat. And honestly, it tastes sooooo much better than the chicken in a can. I've made most of these recipes from past batches of home-canned chicken and the results were amazing!

That being said, if you are interested in canning any kind of meat, please don't do it willy nilly. Please look up proper instructions on how to safely can meat and follow those instructions to a tee.

Mine always turned out great! And oddly enough, it's super satisfying to open a cupboard door and see 15 potential chicken meals that could be ready in minutes!

  2. I tried it for the first time last night. Was okay, but had a funny taste. Definitely different than regular chicken. Had to quickly stuff some potatoes and broccoli into my mouth with each bite, to help hide the can flavor. Wonder why it tastes different. It wasn't just that it was extra salty. It was definitively different.

  3. I put it in can chicken soup for more chicken. i do drain and rinse. thank you.

Rice A Roni cooked in butter, and once cooked, mix in can chicken and chop it up in the cooked rice. add extra seasonings, if you wish. I add red pepper flakes,a little salt black pepper, and garlic salt. Top with Louisiana hot
    sauce before eating.

Please drain the gross water in the canned chicken, and rinse with cold water, until runs clear before using in anything.

  4. I have so many canned chicken in my cabinet from food pantries..now that money is low it's time I crack open those babies. Only I'm mexican an of course gonna try our seasonings … Brb somebody comment so I can come back to tell y'all how it came out lol
