How to make BBQ Ribs in the Oven | Oven Baked Ribs Recipe



Here is the way I like to satisfy my craving for tender, juicy and smokey BBQ ribs, when I don’t feel like smoking ribs on a pit. I slow cook them in the oven and sauce them with easy homemade barbecue sauce.

INGREDIENTS
2 to 2 1/2 lbs Pork baby back ribs
1 1/2 to 2 tbls Liquid Smoke (I used hickory liquid smoke)
Dry Rub (store brand works or the recipe for mine is below)
1/3 cup of BBQ Sauce (my recipe is below)

DRY RUB RECIPE
2 tbls paprika
1 tbls lemon pepper
1 tbls garlic powder
1 tbls onion powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tbls brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp kosher salt

HOMEMADE BARBECUE SAUCE RECIPE
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tsp spicy brown mustard
1 tbls honey (or brown sugar)
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 to 2 tsp dry rub seasoning

  2. I really thank you for this recipe..I normally make my ribs in the slowcooker,and decided to use the oven and your video popped up right away normally it's kinda close to the dry rub I use but I never use the smoke liquid..
    But great recipe,I have all the ingredients besides that,but most definitely gonna make this today…

Thank you for this recipe, made some slight modifications and the ribs were amazing! 😁😋 I used a different dry rub concotion: salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, basil, oregano, thyme, summer savory & plochman's pink berry flavor explosion, plus a little meat tenderizer. For the sauce I used Sweet Baby Ray's hickory & brown sugar. Perfect time for me to stumble across this vid too, grocery store had a sale on pork ribs. 😁

  4. I made them last night in the crockpot, cooked them for 8 hours and they turned out delicious. I was going too broil them in the oven but we ended up eating the meat in tacos with soft corn tortillas, avocado and tomatillo sauce.

  5. (Regarding bulk Meal prep for singles and small fams ) Could I separate meals and freeze them before the last approx. 15 cook time and finish the frozen packages upon individual dinners? How do you think could that work?
