So raw shrimp and raw scallops are really safe to eat after one hour (or so) of being immersed in this citrus juice?
This is all I crave lately even though I haven't had it in years, this craving came up out of no where
omg…killing me…love it
this bitch doesnt know ceviche is peruvian
So the seafood is raw? Not par boiled right??
She doesn't even know how to use a knife and that's the worst way to cut the cilantro 😥
Mexican Ceviche is more like a salad with lime dressing. Kind of an overkill. Peruvian Ceviche all the way
coconut milk adds more taste
That isn't Mexican ceviche. Again, what's up with white people leaving every single meat raw. That shrimp is raw, okay. First, you marinate the seafood with the lemon juice for 30 minutes until the shrimp turn pink, add the vegetables, mix, and eat it with corn chips.
Do you boil the shrimps ?
Excellent job! The very simplicity of the dish comes through! It’s what makes ceviche such a winner. We were just in Peru and came across three rugged fishermen literally whipping up their self caught ceviche meal on a desert beach, it will inspire you to try making your own, if these three rough guys can do it on a beach then it’s a home run https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3jfI5_Tz-k&t=40s
I’ve never had ceviche but I love seafood and South American flavors. I make Aztec soup that is so amazing. I can’t wait to try this recipe. The best food in my opinion is simple, fresh ingredients with intense flavors. Thanks for the great recipe.
Ceviche IS from Perú
Kosher salt?? WTF? What's next Halal cilantro? They should keep retarded religious crap from recipes man.
Gloves?!! De-seed?!! skip video. This isn’t authentic.
It's so cool how you can make ceviche in so many ways. I personally add a few extra ingredients like avocado, and hot tomato juice. After trying so many ceviche cause its my favorite these few extra ingredients make it way better to me. don't care where it came from who ever made it is forever grateful in my eyes.
U need to learn how to make it…
Cucumber? x_x
I came from Cambodia. I just saw this food in the textbook that I gonna teach my students. I check it then I see this. It looks yummy though.
https://whatscookingamerica.net/History/CevicheNotes.htm here is a bit of history on ceviche, though I wish some of you stop thinking of your selves as citizens of a particular country and start thinking of yourselves as citizens of the world. Stop this silly national pride, God did not devide the land, men did and stop saying me and mine or this and that is better than yours . That depends on someone's particular taste. Remember we are all members of the human race, STOP putting out there things that devide us and please ( to some of you, you know who you are) STOP BEING SO IGNORANT! Thinking you are better than anyone else doesn't mean you are! Ask God if He makes any distinction ! We are all brothers and sisters why not enjoy what's good in all of us. As a very famous culinary expert always says: " If it looks good, eat it."
The lime/lemon juice doesn't "cook" the seafood, it cures it
I always have hot dauve💯
Wow people are being jerks in the comment section. There are many styles to cooking according country. We in the Philippines have menudo just like Mexico has its own menudo or empanada, etc..We even have our own ceviche which we call "kinilaw" but hey.
I’d make mine without the tomatos, and the jalapeño peppers. Is the other pepper very hot too?
they don't know how to make good ceviche
I like to add the zest of 1 lime & 1/2 of a lemon
this is stupid people arguing over food. I personally like good ceviche wether Mexican style or Peruvian as long as it's good that's what matters. People need to stop acting like they own everything like a bunch of little brats.
Mexican ceviche is more of a salad. Such a waste….
I would also suggest adding a bottle of clamato so its a mix of ceviche/ cocktail de camaron. Soo good on a hot day with some beer
