This was the most awkward exchange I have ever seen between 2 ATK presenters.
How to age someone 50 years, with one hairdo!
A perfect recipe for those who don't have full time jobs, are raising kids, don't about the price of groceries or trying to fill a man's stomach, and have time to just putter… putter. putter… and futz A store bought crust and pie filling with chocolate chips would do just as well for this just food. How many Pie Pop recipes does one person need, ATK? The recipes on which your built your reputation made your cookbooks and magazines a treasure. I would look forward to them. But it seems your ideas have gone flat. There are so many wonderful European dishes that use the same products available in the US that are amazing, but never see light. And yet, we get the uninspiring retakes on salmon and sugar cookies and tacos ad nauseum as your price goes up.
The comment at the end about these being like a sophisticated poptart makes me want to make this as an actual poptart haha.
This got me thinking, and giving a recipe idea here: McDonalds cherry pies from the 80s. They might have been deep fried? Those were as good as they were dangerous.
Why yes, this recipe segment did end rather abruptly. The final 35 seconds:
Sam: I love the glaze on top. It's kind of like a sophisticated Pop Tart.
Julia: <laughs> It is! Sam, these are delicious. Thank you!
S: You're welcome!
J: So if you want to make these adorable cherry pies, start by making a pie dough in the food processor with shortening and butter, strain warmed cherry preserves for the filling and assemble and bake the mini pies around a lollipop stick.
J: From America's Test Kitchen, a whimsical and delicious recipe for Chocolate Cherry Pie Pops. You can get this recipe and all the recipes from this season along with our product reviews and select episodes on our website.
🤔Even that ended abruptly…
Why is Julia standing so uncomfortably close to Sam? I'm uncomfortable just watching it.
Ain't nobody got time for that!
You don't really need the stick
Girls those look amazing!💯😁
Sam is pure sunshine!
Sam, you’re delightful!! ❤
Man those look good! Almost like a cherry mash!
Remove the sticks, cut them into squares, you have DRAKE'S CHERRY FRUIT PIES😱….Just add the GLAZE.

The interaction between these two is very stiff and awkward.
