How to Make Crab Xacuti: A Delicious Seafood Recipe
🛒Ingredients Required
Crabs-1 Kg
Grated Coconut-1 cup
Kashmiri Red Chillies-8 Dried
Peppercorns-6
Star Anise-1 no
Poppy Seeds-1 tsp.
Coriander Seeds-1 tsp.
Mace-1 no
Cinnamon Stick-1″
Cloves-6 nos
Onion (sliced)-½ cup
Ginger-½”
Garlic Cloves-8 nos
Onion cubes-½ cup
Tomato-¾ cup
Curry Leaves (few)
Cooking Oil as needed
Salt to Taste
How to make Crab Xacuti at home
1. Take the crabs, wash, clean, and cut them into desired cuts.
2. Take a pan, put some oil in it and roast the ginger chopped, garlic chopped, onion slices, Kashmiri Red Chillies, Peppercorns, star anise, poppy seeds, coriander seeds, mace, cinnamon stick, cloves, and grated coconut.
3. Take these roasted ingredients and make them into a fine paste.
4. In a thick bottomed pan, pour in some oil, splutter some curry leaves, and saute the rest of the onions and tomato cubes with some salt.
5. To this add the cut pieces of crab and saute them till the shells become pink.
6. Add the masala paste and some water and bring this to a boil.
7. Serve hot with some rice.
