Great recipe as always from Dan!
This recipe is delicious, but the entire point of duchess potatoes is that they are individual servings. This is like saying the easiest way to make cupcakes is to make one big one. This is just fancy mashed potatoes – which is fine, but call it what it is.
Dan is my dream man!
I was wondering if these can be made in advance without losing the "soufflé"!
America's Test Kitchen misleads people by stating on its PBS tv shows that recipes are free. They provide no disclaimer that to sign up for the free recipes you must disclose all personal info including providing a credit card – because they will start charging your credit card every month after the first two weeks for those allegedly free recipes. I no longer watch the show specifically because of this deliberately misleading strategy to essentially trap people into the autopay maze – a maze that apparently (according to reading hundreds of cautionary comments online) has no viable exit. Once they – like most paywall sites enticing with initial free reads – have your credit card, all bets are off; just try to cancel that autopay! And while I might indeed have gone ahead and subscribed, the fact that they deliberately mislead people is what made me decide not to. While the recipes may be worthwhile, the hassle factor and essentially dishonest presentation is not.
I’m having a bbq today for 20 people and my dutches are in the oven and I can hardly wait to see peoples reactions and it will go great with the smoked pork , asparagus and Tex mex salad😋🤤😋 Thank you for this recipe ❤️💕
This looks I could do the piped towers in an air fryer.
In a dish like this you should boil the potato’s skin on whole. Peel after they are done.
Ricer? What brand?
Something different for thanksgiving!
It looks like a potato soufflé to me! Looks delicious too!
Can I skip this casserole on a Thanksgiving day and just use and eat boiled potatoes? I have tried mashed potatoes of all sorts and do not like the texture. I prefer a really crispy and crunchy potato over a mashed potato.
Great recipe and I can’t wait to try it out!!!!!!!!!!!😋😋😋😋😋😋👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😍👍
"This dish won't get tons and tons of butter"…adds butter in every step 🤣

How many potatoes=31/2 lbs?
Has anyone tried it with russet potatoes?
Does that cute guy with glasses have any only fans yet
I would so purchase season after season of DVD and/or Blue Ray of this program.
I will be making this for Thanksgiving. Along with the Brussels sprouts recipe they had on here.
This was amazing! Everybody loved it. Thank you!
I made the Duchess potatoes and they are delicious. I am going to make the casserole again.
I hope this freezes well because I've got to try these potatoes and there are only two of us in my household! Looking forward to the "cooking for one" book, too.
I imagine them standing slightly off angle from each other in complete silence while waiting for each step to cook.
Pretty much the topping got a shepherd's pie then except for that egg white butter slurry at the end
I’m very excited to make this dish. I know my carboholic daughter will just adore it, and so will I! Do you think it would turn out just as well without using a potato ricer because I don’t have one? Let me know what you all think. Please! Stay safe everybody!
I want garlic, and alcohol removal
This home version hits the bullseye in every way . They are gorgeous potatoes cooked up by a smart gorgeous guy.
These will grace my dinner table soon.
I love your shows and the entire gang but Dan just tweeks a bit special.
Great show!!!
Was baking the potatoes rather than boiling tested? You'd get drier, fluffier potatoes like in the gnocchi recipe.
He is so boring 😴
Planning on making it this week
I don't understand — why publish a new video but block access to the recipe? I'm not wasting my time on these anymore.
I will most definitely make these.
Yummo
“Holiday table”. 🙄
