One of my family’s favorite to eat specially during the rainy days is the Filipino style pork barbecue (Filipino pork barbecue skewers). Here are the ingredients i used for the marinade:
PORK ( i used pork belly because its what left at the store, sometimes its hard to get the meat part you like at this time of lockdown. It is very fatty but it gives a deep flavor to the barbecue. I often use pork shoulder for barbecue)
soy sauce
ketchup
sprite (or 7-up)
minced garlic
fresh lemon juice (or calamansi)
black ground pepper
NOTE: I use electric grill but if you will use charcoal barbecue grill you may use the marinade for basting the pork while grilling and turning it. You may want to use it as a sauce too but since it has been in contact with raw meat, you should bring it to a boil in a saucepan.
