Please demo with parchment between foilpan and food to protect against aluminum overdose which is the same as Alzheimer's!
Chicken looked good, should have cooked a little longer. Loved that method however.. Now the fried peach pies, we grew up having them pan fried in a cast skillet, using very little fat( maybe 1/4 inch of fat in the skillet, turning the pies often. (back then the fat of choice was lard,, then crisco came into the scene, however lard fried pies tasted better) Fried pies have a completely different flavor profile when pan fried. Most think they taste much better.. We made them with various fruit that we grew. Apples were my favorite, but the filling has to be made starting with dried apples'.. Plum, Pear, Peach, strawberry and last but not least blackberry fillings were used , depending upon season and availability. .Those hot fresh blackberry fried pies were awesome , especially slathered in fresh made butter… Talking from experience here in Alabama. Loved ya'lls video!
I'm guessing you could bake these in the oven, right?
😋
I don't think Myron Mixon would think much of seasoning and let it sit for an hour. That does not sound like Myron at all. If you put salt on it, that meat has to hit the grill very soon.
Is it me or do all the female hosts look so similar they could be related?
Deeeeeelicious
15:10 is when the peach pie starts
I would absolutely love to make this competition chicken, but can I skip the hot sauce? I tend to have a sensitive tongue. The hot sauce is a bit too spicy for me.
Thanks for sharing recipies that can be made on stove top as well. Because in India we don't normally cook in the oven. A lot of cooking is done on the stove top. Thanks once again.
I live about 50 miles from Peach Park in Clanton and have been there several times for their peach ice cream. Now I find out about the peach pies! Road trip!!
In the TV show King of the Hill, the son Bobby Hill was always talking about fried pies. Now I know what the heck he was talking about about and why he would fuss so much about them. The look fantastic.
…fried pies… ya'll need someone who knows Slavic cooking!
I love your show I’m glad you show every details on recipes
Hello Bridget , Julia …. Everything looked fantastic. , just Yummy…
I do have one question tho …….
When my Mother made FRIED PIES. when I was young , just like the Yeast Raised Donuts She would make , She would make this very thin Glaze She would dip them in & it would be crystal clear , shiny as glass. almost looked like a veneer of shellac it was so thin , I guess to keep our sugar intake down as much as possible , ( lol ) But a thin Glaze is what this type pie begs for …… Just makes me wish I could reach out & have a couple…YUUMMM 🍑🍑😘😎
I would like to see how many trial-and-error episodes it takes to get a lot of these recipes perfected.
Which recipe did I like? Yes! 😀
Awesome peach pies! Bryan rocks.
Well now I know how to make fry pies.
You ended the pie part with "if you want to find out more about the history of fried pies, go to our website". I go to the website to be flagged with a 2 week free offer to it, but no info on the history of fried pies. That is a bit misleading if you ask me…. Just put the link to the article in the comments or somewhere so you can just look that up if yhat is all you are going for.
When we used to travel to Atlanta the kids would be looking for the "big bum" at Gaffney ….who will be the first to spot it?
So how do we produce uni-lateral popcorn? I would think this would be a perfect question for America's Test Kitchen to research.
Can’t get the recipes unless I pay? Well so much for that.
I would love to see these done in an airfryer.
I wish McDonald's would bring back fried pies. Jollibee a Filipino competitor to McDonald's offers a fried peach mango pie that is very tasty.
can you direct your viewers to some of the cook ware and dishes for purchase?
Can you bake instead of fry the pie?
What would you think of making the chicken with breasts instead of thighs? With skin and bones of course!
Skinny Pop is my fave.
