How to Make Japanese Chilled Pork Salad for Hot Days! with 3 different sauces

I’ll show you how to pair it with three delicious sauces, plus share a little summer tradition with myoga (Japanese ginger buds) that’s perfect for the season. Refreshing, nourishing, and so satisfying!

・Salad Greens
Baby leaves, Mizuna,
Daikon sprout, lettuce
・Pork
7 oz/ 200 g slied pork belly
or shoulder

・Onion sauce
½ red onion
½ cup (120ml) Mentsuyu
3 tbs vegetable oil
・Peanut & sesame sauce
1 tbs peanut butter
2 tbs mentsuyu
1 ts rice vinegar
1 ts sugar
1 tbs ground white sesame seeds

・Grated daikon and ponzu

  1. This recipe looks very light & tasty because here in the UK as I write this comment (21 June 25) we are experiencing very hot humid weather, just like you guys in Japan, so this will be perfect. It will make a nice change from the salads we usually eat in my home.
