This is also doable in the microwave.
Melt the butter in 30 second intervals until it's hot and bubbly. Pour it immediately over the mini marshmallows and stir until melted. Add the cereal and mix. Used to love doing it that way because it took at the most three minutes to prep and I didn't have to dirty a pot.
