  1. Thanks for your recipe! I wouldn’t use chicken breast though, but dark meat which is more tender and flavorful. I also would add a teaspoon of Better than Boullion, and a few strands of saffron….

  2. Old fashioned chicken soup my eye. Anyone worth their salt makes home made egg noodles, rolled out thin and dried for long enough so you can cut it with a butcher knife, 3 or so inches long and a half inch wide. Cook them in the soup till tender. What you made was a sort of chicken soup, but not OLD FASHIONED CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP!! I give you an "F".

  3. Sigh….right up to the store bought broth……….
    My recipe:
    (1) whole chicken
    (6) thighs (6) drumstricks
    Bag of carrots
    Bag of Celery
    Bunch of leeks
    (2) onions split
    (2)parsnips
    (2turnips)
Huge bunch of dill which i jam inside the chicken
Salt….salt slowly over 2 hours until you get the right flavor
    (12) quart pot

The smell in the house when its cooking……but then again this is a 2-3 hour cook time.

  4. Well, now I've made the recipe twice, using a pair of chicken breasts. It's delicious! It also doesn't last long enough in the 'fridge for me to worry about freezing it – I end up eating it for lunch 3 or 4 days in a row, it's that good.

  5. Nice recipe loved watching it ATK😍😍 every time you broke the pasta 🍝 italians cried 😢and you called pasta a noodle 🍜 uncle roger would be like haiyyaaaa😂😂😂😂 Julia and Bridget are my favourite ❤❤

  6. Looks good! My sister and I are looking for a good church style booyah soup. There's a distinctive taste that we just cannot identify nor find on Google. It's a good 'ol fashion recipe. We live in Wisconsin so I think it's of German or Polish heritage.

  7. I came across this by accident. I feel like crap right now like, under the weather. I can't wait to make this tonight. I need this soup badly and might just eat it while in a hot shower….nothing like a hot shower and hot soup at the same time…

  8. I also cook my pasta separately, because the pasta does not become mushy and suck all the broth up when there are leftovers.
Also, I put in more carrots and celery, and use 1 onion. I boil
1 whole chicken with a onion, 2 carrots, celery for 45 minutes till
done. Let it cool and take it off the
bone. I use the homemade chicken broth in the soup ! Everyone loves this soup !

  9. Hey! …to you both. My wife and I have watched ATK religiously since inception. And now, we're both in throes of a seasonal nastiness–coughing, hacking, and runny-ing our respective noses. But, I have implicite trust this recipe will wrest our weary eyes, noses, throats, and lungs. Well, this recipe together with a healthy dose of NyQuil.

  10. Use chicken feet for your stock. The gelatinous part will make a very rich stock.

Simmer long with leeks, carrots, celery, and thyme. Adjust seasoning when you strain it and start adding the meat, more carrots, celery, white onion, parsley and the noodles
