  1. I accidentally put orzo in the rice cooker instead of rice, and it came out perfectly aldente on the white rice setting. It did stick together, but the sauce I was adding it too was rather liquidy ( not overly so, it wasn't exactly soup ) and it split right back up again. It turned out excellent, even if I thought I was using rice at the time.

  2. These recipes look awesome- I made some for dinner. The way I made mine was I boiled them for about 5-7 minutes with water, butter, and salt. In a pan I sautéed onions and multi colored peppers. I added butter and a bit of vegeta it’s a spice. I drained the orzo and rinsed it with a little bit of cold water. Next I added it to the onion and pepper mixture and added a bit more butter- my husband loved it. I made tenderloin garlic Parmesan turkey slices on the side.😋

  3. Back sometime in the mid-nineties, my aunt – a vegetarian – took me to dinner. The menu listed a dish of orzo with rabbit ragu. I asked her if she would mind if I ordered it. She said that she had no problem with it.

When the plate arrived, it was a pile of orzo and rabbit, with two sage leaves sticking out of the top, so as to resemble bunny ears.

My aunt looked at me and said, “take those off right now!”
