You nailed it! Best poached egg I've ever made. Slid right out of the shell. No toweling off required. No breakage.
I used extra large eggs and next time I will cook for 12 and half. At 12 whites not quite set. Not sure how size of eggs effect cooking time?
perfect result with my joule thank you
pak u ulol
Those sous vide eggs are not poached they are soft boiled.
Great hack agin!! Straining the whites, brilliant!
Drain off the runny whites? Cheater! Lol
Wow really now you going to make me go out and buy a sous vide machine it's all good at least I have something to do God I hate you in a good way.!!
Is it the same time and temperature if you're only doing 4 eggs in a smaller pot
I make mine in the microwave: 1/2 cup water, one egg, nuke for 1 minute 5 seconds, let stand for one minute, drain.
I usually do the whirlpool method, but you can only do one egg at a time this way, so I'm gonna try the colander thing.
Ms. Simone, I'm so doing this needed a poach egg tip

Fabulous! Worked just as well in a 2-quart saucepan.
Yum! Those look so good. They would be delicious on an avocado 🥑 toast. Thanks, Elle.
Isn't poaching like a soft boil anyways? So…yeah
Wonderful much appreciated video!! Eggs were one of the first things my mother taught me to cook in every way imaginable, she told me once that seeing where eggs take little time to fix she couldn't understand why they come out like @$#%& so often I learned from the best but still look for tips from pro's like you folks please keep making these videos I LOVE this channel!!
And because you cannot bother to make a mess for 1-2 eggs as a normal person would cook, you just half fill a microwave safe bowl with water, break an egg or 2 in it and cover it with a plate. Then you cook the eggs in short 30-45 seconds intervals until the white is set and you have the same result without all the hassle.
This video is trash. ATK usually produces better. Soft boiled eggs! LMAO. RIP ATK
167F is too high for poached eggs Sous Vide.
