Servings: 4

To Make Chicken Marinate

Chicken – 1 Kg
Salt – 2 Tsp
Juice Of 1 Lemon
Ginger Garlic Paste – 4 Tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1 Tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 3 Tsp
Garam Masala – 1 1/2 Tsp
Curd – 3/4 Cup

To Make Pudina Chicken Curry

Oil – 2 Tbsp
Ghee – 1 Tbsp
Whole Spices
( Cinnamon, Cardamom, Cloves, Cumin Seeds )
Onion – 3 Nos
Water – 1/4 Cup
Green Chilli – 5 Nos
Mint Leaves
Coriander Leaves
Pepper – 1/2 Tsp

Method:

1. Take chicken in a large bowl and add salt, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, curd to it.
2. Mix it all well to make sure the masala coats the chicken pieces fully.
3. Let the chicken sit aside for 30 mins.
4. Take oil and ghee in a kadai.
5. Add the whole spices to it. Next add onions and saute until they are golden brown in colour.
6. After 7 mins, add in the marinated chicken pieces along with the extra masala and mix everything well.
7. Cook the chicken for 10 mins to make sure it is no more pink.
8. After 10 mins, add water and cover the kadai with a lid. Cook the chicken for 10 more mins on a medium flame.
9. Take green chillies, mint leaves, coriander leaves, water and grind everything into a nice paste.
10. Add this mint paste to the kadai and mix it along with the chicken.
11. Cook the chicken for 5 mins and then add the black pepper powder. Mix it all again
12. Delicious Pudina Chicken is ready to be served along with some hot Jeera rice or roti by the side.
