Check out the NEW updated video fro Red Chili Pork Tamales

Welcome to this How to make red chili pork Tamales video. I take you step by step into the process to make it as easy as possible for you. I hope you enjoyed the video. It can take a pretty long time about 4-6 hours to make pork tamales. Please take that into consideration when you decide to make the Pork Tamales.
I would recommend if you are a beginner, to make the meat and the sauce on one day and the next day finish the recipe. It can be a bit overwhelming. So if you break it down into 2 day you will feel better in taking on the recipe. In my humble opinion.

Here I have for you my version of how I make pork Tamales. I go step by step with you to try and give you an easy understanding of the process, from starting the dough to making the meat stuffing. This is a very traditional meal in our family for the Holidays.. This Tamale recipe is not an exact recipe, I explain in the video how every family might have a different recipe or make them a little different.

The best thing about your instructions are; after you give the specific details, you point out a few times that it is okay to find the way that works best for us. Want more meat? Fill it up! Want more sauce? Go ahead and add it!
It's nice to know that there is no right or wrong way to make tamales. Once we get the procedure down, and are comfortable with it, we are free to find what we like best, and do it our way.
I'm a feeder. It gives me great joy to cook and fill the bellies of people I love.
It's not uncommon for the younger guys at work (the all call me "Moms") to come to me and say, "Moms can you make me (insert food here)?" Of course I will!
I don't like to leave any of "my boys" feeling left out, so it's a good thing I naturally cook for a crowd 😁.

  4. Hello! I love this recipe and have made them twice. We have about a cup and a half left of the chili sauce. Do you have any recipes that I can use it in? Like beef chili Colorado? Not sure if it would work or if it is enough, but man i would hate to see that hard work go to waste.

I do have one question that is confusing me; you cooked/steamed the tamales on medium high for 1 hour and thirty minutes. I've seen others tell trll to cook them on medium low for 3 hours. Which is it???? 😫
