You cannot get the recipe by clicking on the link they give you, unless you pay for a subscription. I think it is bullshit that we're told "hey you want the written recipe, go to our link" , and when we go to the link, we're told we have to pay for it. The
Excellent demo. I love all your recipes. Your veg. Chilli recipe on PBS is my family and friends favorite dish.
I’m going to make this
they are so much fun! I be makin; this for Thanksgiving..winner!
My sister-in-law and I tried this recipe for my brother-in-law’s birthday. The cake was awesome. We did have trouble making the fudge frosting. We refrigerated the fudge, but it softened quickly at room temp. We frosted the cake anyway and refrigerated the cake again to set the frosting until we took it out for the birthday reveal. Altogether, the cake was full of chocolate flavor, not dry, and had a lovely crumb. The frosting was decadent and complimented the cake perfectly.
So I made this recipe, It is so rich in chocolate! But so delicious! If you are diabetic do not eat this cake!
I have to try this, even tho I'm not huge on chocolate. Thank you 😊
😊 Took a piece of the cake to my coworker. She texted me: I just ate the cake. I can't believe how good it is. I saved a tiny piece for tomorrow. It's so very good!!!!
Made today. I messed up the first cake. So I started over. One of my layers needed more time to cook. The frosting is time consuming but oh so worth it! This cake is amazing! Thank you for posting this video! I watched it several times!
Love the recipe and can't wait to give it a try!
Cake-2 CUPS of sugar
Frosting-1 and a half CUPS light brown sugar, 3 CUPS confectioners sugar.
=6 AND A HALF CUPS OF SUGAR IN THAT 8 INCH SQUARE 2 LAYER CAKE. I'm sure it's good, just too much sugar to even make a test cake. I will just do a cold run of it before grandkids come over. 😁
I have two square pans but they're larger than 8". Can I still use them?
Made it last night. Gotta load on all the frosting, but it is as good as it looks.
Yummy 😋
How does one store it? In the fridge?
Used 100% LINDT cocoa bars, melted in microwave. Darker color, still tasted GOOOOOOD . This cake tastes like what you would expect a choc cake to taste like. Have plenty of milk on hand. 😋💕😊
Crazy that you have to give a CC number in order to view the recipe. Idiotic
I realize it's not part of the traditional recipe but I'd add coffee to the cocoa instead of water….the cake looks amazing!
How will this recipe work at 6,500 ft above sea lever?
Someday I hope you will teach me how to make
a Hershey Bar. Or, oooohh–ooooohh, how about M & Ms?
All the Wellesley Fudge Cake is missing is a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream
That cake looks good, and I know it taste even better!! 🙂 yum… yum…. Thanks America's Test Kitchen for the yummy video
Perros
Can i you wiht suger in the frosting!?
If you sub out the water for the cocoa powder with coffee or cold brew, you could have an even stellar cake.
Cocoa is even better when you bloom it in hot coffee 😋
Could you use coffee instead of hot water to bloom the cocoa powder??
When blooming the cocoa , could you use hot coffee to enhance the cocoa flavour as in other recipes, or would that change the flavour of the cake too much?
What does ‘blooming the cocoa’ mean?
What in the world are those chefs doing in the back ?! 😂
