  1. It will be easier to get ALL of the onions into the bowl if you move the cutting board off the end of the counter and hold the bowl underneath the exposed part – and just push them into the bowl with your other hand. No bench scraper needed nor need to clean.

  2. This brought back childhood memories of going to the Wurst Garten for lunch with my family! The smell of those brats on the grill was so intoxicating! I have not had brats for years so had to go out and get some to make your delicious meal here and it was fabulous!!! Thank you for doing this video!

  3. I grew up in Wisconsin. Listening to this, I just realized that the plural of bratwurst is bratwurst. I've never heard anybody say "bratwursts" before. I've had some pretty tasteless brats around the country, but for me it isn't really bratwurst unless you can taste the nutmeg.

  4. Great technique using the oven to create a hot pan to cook brats in the oven. Unique versus grilling to use a hot oven in the house. It looks good and also like a great way to create nice sear on the brats. I'm sure that was a great meal as a child.

  5. I made this tonight for dinner and it wascso tasty!. Loved the dressing for the salad. They only change I made is I substituted the kale (no one in the family likes kale) with spring greens, still added the radishes. Quick, fast and tasty! Thank-you, Julia.

  6. Julia ~ thank you for sharing your recipes, I’ve made quite a few & they were well-received.

I noticed on instagram that you made a visit to the Berkshires this summer. Is the little red knife you are using for mustard from The Lost Lamb Patisserie in Stockbridge? I bought one as a gift because it’s so cute ( & that bakery is wonderful )!

thanks again and I’m making this bratwurst over the weekend.

  7. I love a good "Polish Sausage 🌭"dinner 🍽️ with "Peppers 🫑 & Onions 🧅"and most any type of "Potato 🥔 Salad🥗"even a "Three Bean Salad 🥗" is nice.
